9 George Square was originally built in 1922 as a McLaren warehouse and repository building, and the original façade still remains despite the redevelopment that’s modernised the interiors. It was designed by James Miller, also responsible for the Bank of Scotland headquarters building and the five-star Turnberry Hotel, and is listed by the Historic Environment Scotland organisation. Its historic design is a perfect fit for its position on the corner of George Square, which was laid out in 1781.
Positioned on the corner of George Square and South Hanover Street, 9 George Square is in a prime position in the centre of Glasgow. That puts it in easy walking distance of some of the best transport connections in the city, including Glasgow Queen Street, Glasgow Central, and Buchanan Street train stations. There’s also on-site parking and bicycle storage, perfect for if you’re cycling or driving to the office.
Nearby Argyll Arcade is a chic, Parisian-style, glass-roofed arcade that’s home to over 30 jewellers and diamond merchants, perfect for window shopping.
This eye-catching building contains a permanent collection of modern art and rotating temporary exhibitions, meaning there’s always something new to see.
We're delighted to have one of the finest buildings in Glasgow with an unbeatable location! With three floors of serviced office space, it's ideal for all businesses and industries who want to work in the heart of Glasgow's business district.
