We have joined The Living Wage Foundation and other over 3,500 employers across the UK in their pledge to ensure that our amazing staff are earning the real Living Wage. We believe that paying our workers the real Living Wage is not only the right thing to do, but it also makes good business sense. We understand that investing in our staff’s wellness increases overall motivation and productivity, and ultimately makes our ever-growing company a more successful one. The real Living Wage rates are higher than the statuary National Living Wage rates as they are independently-calculated. They take into consideration the true cost of living in London and price of household goods and services.
How The Boutique Workplace Company came to be…
We were once known as Ventia Ltd: the well-known, well-loved, trail-blazing serviced office provider started by industry veterans Steve Baker and Dan Wheble in 2008. This clever pair saw a lucrative gap in London’s post-recession office market and used their twenty years of experience to manage property portfolios on behalf of landlords and tenants. A robust strategy which proved successful in generating a steady revenue stream whilst mitigating its holding costs.
As the property market stepped out of its recession, Ventia secured its first lease on a Grade II listed building in Mayfair. From there Ventia took the lead on providing stand-out, design-led, boutique office space. Soon head and shoulders above the competition Ventia focussed on creating office space with a difference. Located in beautiful listed buildings in central London, the sites were packed with original period features and individually created interiors. They provided private office space as well as co-working and break out areas. These extraordinary, stand-out spaces were (and still are!) a far cry from the zero personality, typical modern high-rise offerings.
Ventia’s success continued with its steady year-on-year growth and for two consecutive years running, in 2014 and 2015, they were awarded the prestigious accolade of achieving The Sunday Times Virgin Fast Track 100. Ventia also received top billing as winner of the 2015 Nectar Small Business of the Year.
By the end of 2015 Ventia had over 20 desirable office locations. It was then acquired by us, The Boutique Workplace Company. The synergies between our two businesses are undeniable and we have worked closely together throughout 2016 to create one aligned company. Proudly, under the name of The Boutique Workplace Company and now managed by David Hall and Daniel Wheble, our joint ethos, philosophy and core values are the same, and our commitment to our clients, our experienced team, our flexible terms and transparent pricing will continue to be at the very heart of our business.

Daniel is the Founder and CEO of the Boutique family who always has his door open. Having started the business almost 10 years ago he has opened over 40 successful workplaces and ensures we are innovative leaders in the market.

David is the Managing Director for the group. He strives for perfection and makes sure the ever-growing Boutique ship runs smoothly. A Yorkshire lad through and through so make sure you know how to make a decent brew!

Our first Head of HR, Cherise comes with international experience. Cherise sources our new talent, encourages growth & keeps everyone in check. Her drink is a glass of rose or a pornstar martini if you really want the job!

Dan is our money man (clue is in his title). A head ache solver and excel hero, he makes sure we are heading in the right direction as we continue to expand and it’s always a good day in the office when Dan is happy with the numbers.

Making her industry debut with us, Kayley has progressed into the Inbound Sales Manager where she enjoys building relationships with our valued agents. Quick as a cat and sarcastic as hell but we wouldn’t have her any other way.

Tom is a founding employee whom has witnessed the growth from our first lease in Mayfair. Experience in IT, ops & sales but more importantly a team outing is never the same without “Tommy G”. Just get a round in before story-time 😉

Another success story, Emma made her way from a Centre Manager in our 28 Queen Street workplace to a Regional Operations Manager. Emma is our most charming and has recently turned mummy to her first born.

Having worked 4 years in the industry, Sam joined Boutique in 2018 and now we can’t remember what it was like without her. A keen hiker, if you can’t find Sam in one our workplaces you’ll find her up a mountain.

Chelsie worked as a Centre Manager at many of our different West End Workplaces before eventually managing a region of her own. Owner to a sausage dog named Kingsley who is rather popular when visiting our client’s!

A lover not a fighter (psst did you know Mark used to be a cage fighter?). You can catch this chap going the extra mile for any client or colleague and always calling them “Duck”. A team player and a fantastic sales person.

Nicknamed Kazza by some & almost everyone’s favourite employee, Karen is the best listener who will always tell it as it is. An experienced Operations Manager who makes everyone’s lives easier. Just look at that face!

A ray of sunshine is Adam our italian stallion. Not a bad word to say about anybody and always a welcoming personality for our prospective client’s. Another industry veteran having worked in the industry for over 15 years.

Not only does Elizabeth look the part, she IS the part. A chirpy lass who has vastly learned both sides of the business. Eager to learn and progress, Liz is now Regional Sales Manager for our Shoreditch and Farringdon workplaces.

Sophia has added quirkyness and style to HQ. A vibrant personality who often has the office puzzled with the things she comes out with. And look out for her cockapoo named Daisy who visits the office on Fri-yays!

A returning employee because she simply just missed us all. Sophie Ball is always smiling with her loud laugh & bubbly personality. A quick learner and reliable member of the team, Sophie and Sophia go hand-in-hand.

Jodie assists Karen in running the operations for their region of workplaces. Jodie is a wonderful baker (although she could bake more brownies for the office) and also supports charities with her local cadet group.

Paige makes her Workplaces look Insta-worthy just like her gorgeous self. Another progressing member of staff from Centre Manager to Assistant Operations Manager alongside Kam Khun.
